African Women Writers Tragic Responsibility Anowa is the second, last, and most practiced play composed by Ghanaian dramatist, artist, short-story author, and author Ama Ata Aidoo. Anowa was first distributed in 1970 and had itââ¬â¢s British debut in London in 1991 (Enotes, 2013). It recounts to the tale of a youthful African lady named Anowa.
